Knowledge about Jizo Jizo has been around us from ancient days
In the beginning, Jizo was one of the gods of the Brahman faith of India.
The companions of Jizo(Keeper of the Earth) are Nichizo (Keeper of the Sun), Getsuzo (Keeper of the Moon), and Tenzo (Keeper of the Sky).
Since Earth is a symbol of maternity, and Jizo is full of the benevolence of Mother Earth, it was believed that Jizo could help ease people’s pain.
From the Brahmans Jizo was taken up into the Buddhist faith. He came to represent the bodhisattvas helping people attain Enlightenment following the Buddha’s ascension to Nirvana.
Before long, Jizo was transmitted from China to Japan, and belief in Jizo became widespread among the people.

Each Jizo is produced individually by hand. They are not made solely for Buddhism and Buddhist images.
Their main desire is to spread feelings of relaxation And warmth of spirit...
Such a feeling of friendship is the purpose with which the Jizo statue
Is charged.
